Hi, on Sunday I was all bent over looking for something on the floor when I slipped and fell . I broke my fall with my hand and butt...mostly my hand though and immediatly after falling I wasn't sure whether or not I actually hit my butt because the only thing in any sort of pain was my hand... a few hours later my leg hurt like I had a pulled muscle. I did some research and found out that most docs will do no more than check the HB, I have a home doppler so I checked the HB and it was 140+...I did NOT have any pain in my stomach at any time and I landed sitting straight up. So I guess my question is has anyone else had this happen? Was the baby okay? Thanks!

hope all is well and you are not in too much pain x

Hey hun, your little bubs will be fine! Don't worry! I had a scare last Sunday but was reassured by the Dr. that, after 12 weeks, your baby is so well protected it takes something pretty devastating to do damage... I mean, there have been cases of pg women being in car accidents, going into comas and never recovering and their babies being delivered fit and healthy!!!

xx

My friend fell in the road 2 weeks before her due date. She fell on her hand and onto the side of her stomach. She was holding a glass bottle in her hand too and it smashed under the weight of her fall. She went to the hospital, had her hand bandaged up, had a basic check, and all was fine! The doctor said not to worry at all, the baby, even at such a late stage, is very protected by fluid and membrane and muscles. If you get severe pains or bleeding then get yourself to the hospital. But if not, I really wouldn't worry at all. Hope this helps you! xx

I'm sure baby's fine! Bubba's well protected in there. Plus it wasn't a direct hit to the tummy, so I bet your fine hun. :hugs:

Thanks so much ladies!! I was worried but didn't really feel like I did any major damage...your reasurance has helped me so much!!

you will be suprised what your tummy can take hunni, when i was pregnant with my first child (5yr old son) i ended up being caught in the middle of a fight in my living room ( i wasnt fighting though) and ended up being pushed onto one of my chairs and i ended up with all THREE of those fighting on top of me, and they were'nt exactly small, they where quite large, im sure you will be fine hun, if you get worried just ring your midwife for a check over xx

really wouldnt worry hun if youve checked hb and its fine... just think some people end up rolling in cars whilst pregnant and bubs is fine... their stronger then you think lol
