I read yesterday that the chances of conceiving are higher if the woman orgasms at the same time/ after the man.

Is this true or is it just an old wives tale?

I watched an interesting documentary on the female organs, sorry, but I can't remember what is was called, and they did a test where they injected a special dye into that general area, and she proceeded to give herself an orgasm and they could see on the screen the dye being drawn up into the uterus area during and after the orgasm.
So I am guessing that having an orgasm same time/just after would be benificial to getting more of the sperm where they need to be.

Your uterus expands when you have an orgasm, so yes more sperm are able to swim up to the egg when you orgasm.

how about having orgasm before?
as for me and my husband that is what normally happens as I don't get orgasm when he is on top of me

I don't think it matters. I believe, your cervix and uterus stay contracted for quite a bit after orgasm, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

I only orgasm on top too, but DH usually does when I do so it works out for us
