It's been a year and a half since we did our last IUI. I have always used femara (letrozole) rather than clomid. I seem to remember clomid making many women O a couple days later than normal...but I can't remember about femara. Anyone know?

I don't have an answer, sorry, but didn't want to read and run... I've only been on Clomid, but I ovulated spot on like usual last month (CD14). Hoping for the same this month!

I'm sure it probably varies by woman. Best of luck!

I also ovulated the exact same time with Clomid. I am not sure about Femara.. but that's my personal experience with Clomid. Best of luck to you!

I ovulated using Femara with the assistance of Pregnyl. My follicles grew to maturity (22mm) at CD17 (trigger shot CD16).

I hope that's the information you were looking for. (I too, have PCOS)

I also have taken both Clomid and Femara. I prefer Femara because it seems much more gentle on my system (less side effects).

I ovulated earlier on femara - but then my cycle was always so long that when I ovulated on my own it was as late as day 28 sometimes so it was bound to be earlier.

Well I think that's what I wanted to hear. I hope I don't ovulate any later but I will use my opks early on just in case I O sooner, around day 14 like "normal" people LOL. Normal for me is usually CD 17 or later.

I've never used anything but femara and never really had any side effects (other than those normally associated with ovulation). For that at least I'm thankful. I've heard lots of women have pretty bad problems with clomid.

I hope the femara works for you again! Good luck to you for Friday :)

Thank you BUT unfortunately I'm pretty sure AF has packed her bags and is on her way. I can feel her knocking on my door!

Sorry :(

I wish mine was knocking. I keep feeling very slightly that mine's on the way but nothing so far. 33 days and counting...

I have been on femara for a few mrths . my cycle has settled into 33 day cycle with O on day 18. did AI 7 days ago . feeling it will not be sucsessfull . AI was not done by my regular doctor.

Why are you feeling it will be unsuccessful? I think I was (naively) optimistic about all our IUIs but one. That one time I don't think I was anywhere near ovulating, the catheter wouldn't go in and I bled a little. I pretty much knew that was a waste. :(
