Fertility clinic

Hi girls, so iv finally been referred to the fertility clinic at the hospital, I have my appointment on Wednesday, I'm assuming the first app is just a talking one but has anyone else gone down this road recently, what can I expect? Thanks

Sorry you are going through this

I've been down this road many times after 5 m/c.

Generally they discuss testing options in your appointment and then with me, sent me for tests straight away.

It's relatively straight forward and they give you lots of information.

I just always bring a list of questions to ask so I can feel a bit better about it too.

Sorry to hear about your mc's , must be so hard

Had the appointment yesterday, they talked they it all and given me two forms to go for blood testing, booking me in for an ultra sound and testing OH sperm

The one thing I am worried about is they are planning on doing and X-ray and putting dye inside me so they can view any blockages... I'm just worried coz I was told it's very painful... Did you have this done?

Hey,

No I didn't have the dye test...I haven't heard of it being done before so I don't think its a standard test in our clinic.

I had the 3D ultra sound along with a whole heap of other tests.

If you want me to list them for you just let me know!

Yes please angels, I just want it all out of the way all the testing is so irritating isn't it, so where are you at nowadays?

Ok so here it goes. I had tests done for;

PCOS
Uterine issues
Chromosomal abnormalities
Vit D, B
Folate
Diabetes
Celiac disease
Thyroid
Blood clotting (there is a few in this one)
Estrogen
Progesterone
Iodine
Stress hormone
My husband had a sperm test too

I'm in Australia and they only did testing after the 3rd miscarriage.

They found although my thyroid is normal, it can be sluggish and they found I had slight PCOS but dont reckon its a problem as I can fall PG...I just can't hold on to them...

I think I pretty much exhausted all test methods! So now im seeing an acupuncturist who thinks he can help with his herbs.

Will be TTC this cycle...fingers crossed x
