My miracle ICSI baby was born 6th August and hubby and I already thinking about adding to our family ASAP.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with going back for a medicated FET after having a bub. I am comp feeding but my supply is pretty bad even after being on motilium, putting bub on every feed and expressing every 3 hours. I am probably only going to keep going with it for another few months.

To try again, I will have to have a medicated FET and was wondering how long after having a bub/stopping breastfeeding, etc, I would be able to go back and try. I have booked an appt with my fertility specialist for 14th October, but was hoping to hear of other peoples experiences if possible.

Was going to start a thread saying the same thing! I had my miracle baby in November last year and have an appointment with our consultant on 18th September. If I can find this thread again after I will report what he says! I'm planning on stopping bf next month or so (really sad to do it, but know I need to for us to have our FET). :)

Thank you! I had a csection too so not sure if that will delay things with a fet. Ideally I would love a transfer in February next year if we can.

Well, we had our appointment and it was fab! I've got to ring on cycle day 1 (he gave me progesterone in case it doesn't come in next 2 weeks). Then after 3 weeks of cycle I'll downreg, then on next cycle take esterogen pills to thicken lining for implantation. He said as we've got 3 blastos he'll just defrost 1 at a time. If 1st doesn't survive thaw they'll get the next and so on. If this cycle doesn't work he said that I only gave to wait a couple if months to go again and there's a 30% ish chance if success per cycle. He said as we've already got a baby and several good blastos that increases our chances x

Hi ladies,
As u can see from my sig I done exactly that and have been so so so fortunate for it to have worked again! Wishing u all the luck in the world for your future transfers and an infinite sprinkling of baby dust!
Xxx

Aw, thanks for the lovely words Nic and congratulations on your pregnancy! :) x

Congratulations. Gives me a bit of hope that we can go back and try sooner rather than later. Hopefully with another bfp. ☺ appt is the 14th october with our fs.

Great to hear!

Yeah we didn't wanna wait either and I love the fact that they are going to be so close in age! :)

Would you mind updating this thread after you have had your appointment as I am keen to hear what your fs said regarding how long to wait for a fet after a cesarean as we are in the same situation and given my age (34) time isn't on our side. I do want to bf for as long as possible though (6 months would be nice).

Unfortunately the quality of our remaining frosties isn't that good so we may need to opt for a full IVF cycle instead :(

I absolutely will keep you updated with my appt. I am scared he is going to say no to going back so quick, but it is my body and our frosties, so I should get some say right?!?! I want to go back before my body forgets what it has to do! Our frosties are all day 5 and from what I have been told good quality - they said if they weren't good enough they would not have frozen them.

I have been breastfeeding as best as I can for 6 weeks and my supply is getting less and less. I am seeing my OBGYN tomorrow for my 6 week check and going to discuss going on a suppressant. I am done! My little girl is only getting 50mL a day from me max out of 800mL she is taking in over 8 feeds in 24 hours. I have to sit on the pump and express for hours just to get a few mLs and if she goes on she just tires herself out and is still starving. For that it is not worth it. Have tried massage, motilium... everything suggested and it has not improved.

Saw our FS today. He said even though I had a C section and it would be very close to the 12 month mark if we were to go back straight away for a FET, he would sign off on a transfer before the end of the year. I will just need extra close care from my OBGYN. (Higher risk of uterine rupture).

Paperwork is all done! Back on BCP, start all the meds on 31st October and hopefully a transfer beginning of December. Part of me is petrified - but I am so excited we are getting the opportunity to try again so soon.

Hi Hollie, you're on exactly the same time line as me, we should have transfer at about the same time! Good luck with your cycle :)

Hubby and I have decided to wait til march next year for a transfer. Will give us a bit more time financially to prepare ourselves and spend some more time with our little miracle girl while she is small. 😊
