Fetal weight @27 weeks

Hi Ladies.

I have a 4d scan on Friday, which I have been looking forward to for aaaaaages! Aswell as getting great pics and a dvd to take away they also give you a report including estimated fetal weight. I will be 27+2 and was just wondering what the weight of your baby was at around this time? Im slightly worried that baby will be measuring on the big side as at my anomoly scan her measurments were between 60th-80th centile (except legs which were 45th).

He was pretty right on with weight and percentiles at his 20 week scan. At 27w3d he was 2lbs 9oz. He's turning out to be fairly large. His head was in the 95th percentile at like 33 weeks. Starting to get worried!

My baby girl was estimated to be 3lb 1 oz or 1400g at my scan at 27+6, I think the average at 28 weeks exactly is 2lb 2oz.

I do have GD, but all my babies have been on the large side anyway. My second son was 10lb when he was born at 38 weeks. I would love another big baby, they are so gorgeous and birth wasn't a problem for me.

My first daughter was measuring about the same as this baby at my anomoly scan, but we didnt have the cash to get a 4d scan done with her. She came out at 40+1 weighing 9lbs 2oz, which is on the big side, but not unmanagable. Im just a little worried about this baby being bigger. Im not worried about a 9lber but the thought of a 10lb+ baby does scare me! x

I too worry about a 10 lb baby, like midori I have GD and am worried about a huge baby. But you ladies give me hope! Did either of you tear with your babies?

at my 27 week my LO was measureing 2 lbs 11 oz....They said that put him in the 75% percentile...I went again at 29 weeks and he was weighing at 3 lbs 3 oz and was put in the 60% percentile. I wouldnt get too worried because you never know when your LO will be hitting growth spurts or slowing down for a bit

Mine was 2lbs, 14oz... so, just under 3lbs. He was also measuring a week and 3 days long.

I had a second degree tear that needed a couple of stitches with a local aneastetic, but I dont actually attribute that to my baby's size. When I started pushing my body just totally took over and I was pushing soooo hard I felt like I was gonna push myself inside out! I had no control over it and my baby "flew out like a rocket" as my hubby put it, so I think that if Id have had more control over my pushing I could have delivered her without tearing xx

We had our 4d scan at 27+6 and our little girl was 2lb 11oz and in the 75% percentile x

AT 28 weeks baby measured 3lbs 3oz. I tend to have bigger babies.....my last two were 8lbs 11oz on his due date.....and 8lbs 12oz 10 days early.

My DD1 was 2lb 14oz at 27+4, but that wasnt an estimate by scan, she was born at that weight and gestation it was deemed a very good weight for that gestation.

im really small im 5ft 1.... my two girls were 6lb and 6lb 13oz this time i thought i looked extremely small but went for a gender scan as i couldnt find out what i was having and turned out to be a 3lb baby boy sitting in my tummy at 28 wks im hoping hell come out at th estimated weight of 8 and half lbs but we'll see good luck and enjoy x

I didn't have GD with any of my other pregnancies (they did test me with my second son as he was getting so big), so just have big babies anyway. With the GD I suppose thi one might be bigger than otherwise, but it's a girl and I suppose girls are normally smaller.

I didn't tear at all or need any stitches after any of mine. My 1st was 9lb, 2nd 10lb at 38 weeks and 3rd a tough under 7lb at 37 weeks and he was a doddle to push out compared to the others... I wouldn't be worried about another 10lb'er (although I don't think she'll be that big) and would be quite happy to have a go at birthing a bigger baby naturally as all my births were pretty easy really.

You'll be fine, if they think baby's getting to big for you they'll induce anyway.

My little boy was 2lb 4oz at 27+5 gestation and was born 6lb 15oz at 38 weeks x

I had my scan at 27+1 and he weighed 2 lbs 6 oz and was 14 inches long. He was 49th percentile.

I had a growth scan last week at 28+3 and he was measuring 1lb 13oz, seems kinda small but they said he's within a normal range so i'm not too worried, DD was 6lb 15oz at 39+ so maybe i just don't have big babies! They all grow at different rates so i don't think estimated weight means very much tbh xx

With my DS he was 3lb 10oz at 28 weeks, growth scan 36 weeks 6lbs 3oz & arrived 40+11 8lbs 6oz was told to expect 10lbs at the 28 wks.

This little one was 2lbs 3oz at 27weeks. The weights can be out so wouldn't get too worried about them.

Well I have the opposite issue, my baby is going to be really ickle! At 26 weeks I was told that she didn't even weigh 2lbs, but around 900g's! But I'm not worried. She still has plenty of time to put some fat on, and my other DD was only 6 pounds at term.

Hey ladies just a quick update. We had ou 4d scan and it wasreally amazing. LO weight was around 2lbs 15oz, so on the big side but not very big. xx
