Fetal weight at 18 week scan - too small - please help!! X

Hi,

I went for a scan on Wednesday and i told them i was 18.6 weeks - however, i am merely going off my last cycle for the dates.
They did a scan an said i was a little early for the anomoly scan so i have to return in two weeks.
however, she took some measurements then said the baby was very small.**Please can someone look at my results and offer me some help!! Im nt frightened that the baby is not growing.**
She mentioned that is was the head and abdominal circumference that were too small for the dates.
Please reply if you can offer me some help, advice..thank you..xx

could it be just your dates are a little out? Dating after first trimester isn't quite are accurate by scan as growth rates begin to vary. Fingers crossed thats all it it and the growth is consistent in two weeks.

Hi Lynz85,
well im just going off my last menstrual cycle so yes the dates could be a few days out. Even in saying that now ive researched these measurements they are not so far out - do you agree??

If your measuring 18 weeks but are 18 weeks days by lmp...you are not that far off...as was mentioned above ultra sound dating isn't as reliable after the first trimester. I measure a week of but is only because i ovulated late...good luck, i am sure your fine!!!
