FF question

FF is still confusing to me... So in December I had the wacky cycle-- I've been hovering around 35 days for a few months and then AF came on Dec 1 and again on Dec 17. So after that one short weird cycle, FF seems to think that ALL my cycles are going to be 16 days. On Jan 3, I hadn't told it that I was bleeding or anything and it still opened up a new chart and called Jan 3 CD1. And now that AF really came on Jan 20, it's all set up for another 16 day cycle... I'll try to link to my chart if that helps, but it's just confusing. Is there a way to tell FF that my cycles are NOT 16 days??

Okay, now it's telling me that someone joined FF from my home page and I get five free days of VIP and my chart lengthened to 38 days. What is going on??? Argh.
It's driving me crazy. But still. It's better than nothing.
