Hi, had my 28 mw app today. She had a student with her who measured my bump at 23 weeks, mw then measured at 25. I should be 27 +4. They dont seem concerned and are not sending me for a growth scan. My last app at 23weeks measured 23. This is my 3rd child. 1st c section 5lb, 2nd vbac 6.13.

Should i ask dr for scan or wait 6 weeks till next app, and see what happens?

2Cm out is normal and you are only just over that - it might even be 3cm out that is normal. I wouldn't worry at this stage, your next appt will be more revealing.

At my last one I was 3.5 cm out (though apparently they don't count half weeks) and they weren't concerned. I was so I got a second opinion and it was the same as the first.

Try not to worry, 2 cm is fine and as long as baby is still growing it's good.

I wouldn't worry, I'm sure 2-3cms is fine, wait and see what she says at ur next appt x

Sounds fine :) You obv just have small babies. I'm measuring 28cm just now (i measured myself) so 2cm off but my last baby was 6lb4.

I was measuring small at my 28wk apointment too, I think about 2cm smaller than I should be. MW asked me to come back in 2 weeks (which will be this Wednesday) to check I am growing. When I went in for the glucose intolerance test last week I asked the MW's there and they said nothing to worry about, that 2 cm behind was not really that small and as long as I continue to grow and am not 4cm or more behind they probably wouldn't ask for further checks. I know I have taken a growth spurt in the last couple of weeks though so not too worried.

Its hard until you have felt the top of your uterus for the first time. It feels a bit like a ridge. You have to lie flat and start from your breastbone and go down until you feel the ridge, then measure from there to the top of your pubic bone :)
