I was looking at my online chart and noticed that they just added the note that I had a fibroid. They didn't mention it at my last appointment or anything so I don't know anything else about it. I have another appointment Wednesday so I guess I will just ask about it then, but has anyone else had any experience with this? I read online that they are common, but I'm a little worried now:?

I had a cervical fibroid that caused some early bleeding following sexual activity. It cleared up on it's own by 13 weeks.

I have 2-3 fibroids that I've had for a few years. Neither are directly in the way of the pregnancy but they need to be monitored in case they increase in size. See if you can ask about yours at your next apt. x

I had a very large one removed 2 years before getting pregnant and have 4 to 5 smaller ones currently. I was told they'd be monitored in my regular ultrasounds but was generally nothing to be concerned over.

I was told at my 20 week scan that I have a smallish fibroid, but they are generally nothing to worry about. The sonographer said sometimes the fibrous tissue that makes up the fibroid just disperses back into the body, but when it does, sometimes there is a bit of cramping, but shouldn't be any blood.
I came away with the general idea that it's nothing to worry about.

My mum has them, she's had them for years and I think the only problem she's had is heavy bleeding when she has her period. But I don't know about them in pregnancy I'm afraid. I don't think they're a big cause for concern, but I would ask about it at your next appointment and maybe they can shed some more light for you
