HI girls just a quick question on my pregnancy notes I have noticed the midwfie has put in the column fifths palpable she has put "free" what does this mean?

It was a different midwife mine is on holiday.

Let me know cheers kasey x

From what i can remember hun , This means the portion of babies head left above the bone , So the if your 5ths palp it means heads fully down below the bone and engaged .
I think Free means you can still feel all of babies head freely above the bone ..
Some one correct me if iam wrong lol.
But quiet sure thats what it means , But mine didnt go full down untill the day of labour lol so never got owt written on that bit lol . xx .

i thought it means the same as what mummymadness said, just that baby isnt starting to engage that baby is free moving about and not head down in pelvic area xx hard to explain it lol

Yeah....baby not engaged, luckily eh?:dohh::rofl:

oh good its TOO early for that! Panic over! lol x
