Its been over 18 months of TTC and I am feeling optimistic and excited. After polyp surgery in December, multiple rounds of Clomid, a chemical in June, and having to wait for cysts to shrink, my fertility specialist gave us the green light to start our IUI process today.
We have unexplained infertility, but I have been wondering if our infertility was caused by my CM. We only got pregnant after 6 cycles of Clomid which had all but dried up my CM and killed my libido.
I will be taking Femara 5mg on cycle days 3-7 and will have an ultrasound on day 14 to decide if we are going forward with the Pregnyl trigger shot. If I have 2-6 mature follicles then we can trigger. More than 6 and the insemination will be canceled.
I was also given a prescription for thyroid medication and told to take 6000iu of vitamin D. My thyroid stimulating hormone is 3.7 (in normal range) but I was told that values greater than 2.5 can contribute to miscarriage.
Time will tell.
