This is my second and part of me doesn't want to know the gender. We did genetic testing because of my age and opted for the sex identification because we like to be prepared.
I'm a little anxious about finding out today. I want to know, but it also will only make a difference in a small number of baby things at first.
My first pregnancy I thought for sure I was having a boy. I love my daughter. She's such a virtual mini-me who looks like her father. But I've also always wanted a boy.
This is our last child. So a boy would be great for diversity of experience parenting. Although every child is different, so it will be a different experience regardless.
My MIL would love a boy because all her grandchildren are girls and she had only boys. I'm not sure how my husband would feel about being outnumbered. I was a daddy's girl and followed my father around the farm wanting to do everything he was doing. So I can imaging my daughter doing the same (once she gets over the mommy mommy phase).
Just thinking out loud. I could delay, but it seems odd to avoid the information.
