i know that ive got a while yet, but i dont know whether i'm going to find out or not.. i want to but at the same time i want the surprise at birth, what do all you guys think? did you find out the sex? xx

I found out because I just really wanted to know, I think it made everything more real for once, plus it made shopping easier, lol.

I found out because i just wanted to know lol, i had no patience to wait! also i wanted to buy lots of clothes for him. But sometimes i think how nice it would of been to not know the gender then have o/h tell me 'its a boy!' lol x

i think i want to find out to see if what i think is right. because im certain its a boy xx

i had this debate and made many threads about it.
i had decided before my 16 week scan that i was not going to find out, and was happy with it. but on my scan i saw his boy bits and i just got them to confirm because it was obvious. however i am so so so happy i did find out :D

xx

I was convinced i was having a boy too, alot of the time a mummies instinct is right! :)

i found out n wish i hadnt now..only because the fact they told me i was having a boy twice and then i found out at 32 weeks i was having a girl (only by a private scan) x

I wanted to find out to prepare, clothes wise etc.
Plus I was far too impatient not to find out!

xxx

i found out so i could

* name him
* bond with him easier (this DID happen to those who say "it doesnt necessarily make you bond more) it did to me
* go shopping and buy gender specific things
* i was so impatient lol

no negatives at all for me and waiting would have achieved nothing for me but it's completely your decision and it's a personal choice and some people prefer the surprise at the end more x

I didn't find out and I'm really glad I haven't :) Yes, it is easier to buy things since very little is gender neutral and what is unisex is very bland. But I've just got the basics and I'll be doing the majority of shopping after LO is here.

I stayed on team yellow...and glad I did, was nice to have a surprise! Having said that, I was so sure it was a boy anyway that it didn't feel like a big surprise haha! x

I had to find out I have no patience at all, plus i thought it was a boy but as far as they know its not, i have been waiting for two months to get a definite answer (3d/4d ultrasound-july 31) drives me nuts! haha

We are ONLY finding out because we are having a baby shower between 28-30 weeks, and The Oh hate nutral colors, if we werent having a huge baby shower i would have waited. I accidently found out with my son, his boy bits were exposed by accident by the ultra tec at 36 weeks.

I also think its a good idea for us because we will be able to give it a name, and i would love to conferm what i think it is. And also I really would love to go shopping.

And another huge reason is i found a great stroller / carseat that was bairly used bought last year only 75$ they paid 275$, only thing is its pink.

I wanted to wait to find out but then i got to anxious and i had to know the sex of my baby.
As soon as the sonogramer lady goes do u wanna know what your having i said yesss!!!!

I couldnt find out, my LO was a lil stubborn and kept their legs crossed :haha:

Butt me and OH are really excited about the suprise now and its good to get gender neutral stuff for future babies :)

xx

It's still a suprise whether you find out or not - you just find out a little earlier!

For us our reasons for finding out were:

* We were impatiend, so had a 4D gender scan at 16 weeks
* It's made it real, made him into a person, given him a personality a he, a Leni - not an 'it' or 'baby'
* We were able to choose a name, and not call him 'it' or 'baby'
* I believe we have bonded with him incredibly and wouldn't have been able to do so as much if we didn't know 'what' he was
* Choose gender specifif clothes/furniture/pram etc

I will find out the sex next time too, i would hate no to know!

i fought with myself for ageees not to find out the sex. i didnt find out at my 20 week scan. but then after it i really wanted to know. ended up getting an emergency scan and asked her if she could see the sex.

i wanted to stay on team yellow, but i couldnt do it lol. honestly, well done to the ladies who have managed to stay on team yellow!

xx

We talked about it for a while, and I reaaaally wanted to know the sex so that I could go with a pink or blue colour scheme, but we decided to keep it as a surprise in the end. I'm glad we managed to not give in and find out, but I'm getting kinda bored of calling the baby "it" or "the baby" I'd rather be able to use a name. Both sides have advantages and disadvantages x

I never Found out the sex of Jaymee a I dont plan on finding out the sex out of this baby. I love Not know it was so much fun and find out as soon as they are Born was the best feeling it seems like the 9 months I waited was Worth it all.
