Fireworks Display?

Did you go to a firework display this year? :D If so how did your LO find it?

My LO is nearly 10 months old (7th), and to be honest the fireworks scared him! He sat in my arms watching in awe, then every time there was a bang he'd cry. Then he'd calm, rinse and repeat haha. Poor mite. In the end I walked away a little with him and soothed him.

We took him to a massive display in my area, and after the fireworks there was a massive funfair for kids etc. The music was so loud, I was honestly worried about him - But nope... He fell to sleep in his pram and slept the whole night. haha.

What did you guys do for bonfire night? x

We just set off some in our garden, Keelan slept trough the whole thing while me and oh ran around like kids playing with sparklers and oooing and ahhing at the fireworks lol

We did nothing but have the curtains closed and the TV up loud DS is petrified of fireworks,he shakes so bad and makes him self physically sick worrying over them :nope:

I took LO to a bonfire and fireworks display. We had the car just incase she was scared of them or anything, but she was fine! She's only 3 months old, but she just watched them constantly and didn't seem fazed at all! She jumped a little bit with the first bang, but that was it.

We didn't go to one as LO is very time and would be distraught at the fireworks. But for the past two nights some people have made a bonfire on the grass right behind our garden, it's so close. They kept throwing things into it because suddenly I could see out the window the bonfire would flare up and there would be a huge bang :|

Last night some teenage lads were setting off fireworks in the direction of houses :( They were really loud and kept startling my LO :( I don't know what time this went on until but we were both asleep before they finished luckily!

We took mine (although they are older lol 6 and 8) and we had a perfect time. It was the first year my son didnt wear his ear defenders! He has them as he is sound sensitive but I will probably use them for the baby next year. Such a good buy!

We loved it this year as the kids have been learning about guy forkes so were really interested!

Our neighbours invited us over yesterday for some fireworks in the garden which was nice x

We had some in our garden. Jacob didn't like being outside as he found them to loud, so we stood and watched them from the safety of our back door. He was happy then :)

We went to a disply on Sat night and LO was wrapped up in his pram and they were miles away so they did not bother him. but we got some rockets for the garden last night and they were loud and LO did not like them, we were stood in the doorway too.

We were all ill! Freya got better throughout the day so my Dad called and he loves bonfire night and even tho he was ill he took us the fireworks. Freya wasnt bothered, she was just nosing round everyone else. When she did look at them some tall woman stood infront of us so I moved infrront of her and put Freya on my shoulders and then saying 'dont worry sweetheart, mummy will always get you best spek! Noone getsin the way of my baby'.

Awe it's now my old birthday so we've got to do stuff all day and I'm absolutely shattered! X

We went :) Alex was a little squinty at the bright lights, lol, but he pointed and chattered away to me.

We went to a big display in the park round the corner that the council does every year. My son fell asleep in his pram on the way there and stayed asleep for half of it. When he woke up he was straining to get out the pram and see. He wasnt scared, he was staring at them, it looked like he liked them. I had worried incase he was scared and was ready to home if he was. xxx

We were abroad on Sat when all the major displays were on so missed them, much to Daniel's dismay!!

We got back yesterday lunchtime and my in-laws had us round to have a little display. Daniel loved them all and was trying to help light them!! Esther kept running into the little playhouse they have there but she wasn't crying or anything, she was just playing.

Both of them have always loved them - Daniel 'watched' fireworks right from being 2 weeks old and Esther's first display was when she was about 10 months old.

My mum and dad took Ryan (9 months) to a bonfire/firework display, I stayed home with the dogs. I thought they'd be home within ten minutes but no, he absolutely loved it! Stared in awe at the colours and didn't even flinch at the bangs. Much braver than I was at that age!
