well, it's been 43 days since my miscarriage. and i finally got my first period. but it is nothing like i expected. i usually only cramp for about an hour when AF first shows, but it's been two days and the cramping hasn't subsided at all. i'm also bleeding very heavily, with clots and such? i feel like i'm having the m/c all over again! when will this be over, i just want to put it behind me.

I had my d&c 42 days ago, and i also just started AF, and mine is different than i normally have to , not like yours. i usually cramp from the very beginning and then for about a day, hardly bleed at all. But this time it started with no cramps and have had very little of them, but the bleeding is VERY heavy!
I'm so sorry you are having a difficult time with AF, i hope she goes away soon!:hugs:

I'm exactly the same - My first AF started 41 days after my D&C and it has been the worst ever!!! The last 4 days have been horrible, really bad cramps and VERY heavy!! I was told to expect a very heavy period as I had to return to hospital a week after my D&C because of what I was passing, I was told the D&C hadn't removed everything and the lining was still very thick! But I honestly didn't think it would be this bad! I don't know if you had a natural mc or D&C? But if you had a D&c maybe the same happened you?

I'm sorry you are going through this too - I'm trying to be positive and see it as clearing my system out to draw closure so we can get back to trying again soon! xx

no, i had no d&c. maybe my body did not flush everything out on it's own the first time? that would make sense. 42 sounds like the magic number here huh? i read something on another website that says 40% of women who have a miscarriage (assuming they allowed for one natural period in between) get pregnant using the sperm meets egg method. have you guys heard of it? it involved bd'ing every other day starting 8 dpo, all the way until you think you ovulate (using opk's) then bd the night of the positive, the next night and the night after. then take a night break then one more time for good measure. then wait 15 days and test. she said 40% is twice the amount of women that get pregnant not using this method. just thought i'd share. you can google it for a more detailed explanation.
