And I'm so worried and scared. We been trying for somewhat over two yrs and nothing. We where seeing a obgyn that specialized in infertility. Not quit a fertility specialist though. He did a bunch of tests which came back we are good to go and really only have one thing wrong. A blocked tube, which he says is no problem since eggs tend to jump to the other tube if one is blocked. So we chugged along for another yr of nothing . I'm really hoping that since most of all the test before came back okish. That we wont need much more help then what we been doing. I'm so worried we will have to shell out the money for ivf. Which gives no grantees anyway and is just so expensive. We so want a baby of our own. I'm so nervous. My appointment is for Monday the 24 of this month.

Good luck hun. I definitely feel you 100%. We start with a RE in about 2 months and I'm so scared too. I learned my only tube was blocked in March and have been taking enzymes to try and naturally unblock it (sounds crazy but I've seen it work for quite a few women). Anyway, my OB is doing bloods again to check all my hormones, like FSH and progesterone and such, and we're getting DHs SA and then I'll be getting a repeat HSG to see if enzymes helped at all. Ill let u know if they did when I know. FX! .
Have you tried clomid? Id ask ur RE about that right off. I see MANY women with one working tube say they conceived while taking clomid. The clomid helps both ovaries release an egg, or more to be released in general, therefore its much more likely and easier for the correct ovary to release an egg since it ups the odds. If my only tube was open, id def try that . Sometimes the other tube will sweep the egg over but thats not as common. Do you temp or anything to track ovulation? That will help greatly too if you don't already. If you do start on clomid or another med like it, I'd chart for sure so you can make sure you catch O that/those cycles. Anyway, I wanted to say good luck and give u an idea to bring up at the RE. I bet you'll be seeing your bfp in no time now! I know its all more than nerve racking. Ugh. Ill keep u posted about the serrapeptase after I go for my repeat HSG or get my bfp incase you want to try it out . Good luck and lots of baby dust to you!! I truly think you can do it without IVF. If there's a little hope for me, there's certainly hope for you! Lol I think a simple med would help do the trick for you. FX!

aidensmommy1, I have tracked and charted and used opk's I have used 50 mg, 100 mg and 150 mg of clomid with prometrium progesterone. I think that was how it was spelled, so I'm really hoping this new doc will give me some hope. Please do let me know if that does help unblock the tube, I would love to give it a try. I had one of those as well, it was one of the tests the other doctor did. I'm going to push for another one or the one they do with saline that is similar because I feel they really need to find answers and on my last hsg the outcome was, to do the one with saline.
Why my doctor refused is beyond me.

Yes, the saline one def can make a difference over the water based dye. That was the first question I asked when I walked in "is this saline based dye?" and the doctor said nobody had ever asked her that before lol. I def have to thank Doctor Google for many great ideas

Well we had the RE app and it went really well. He is getting my tests from my other doc so he will not have to do those tests on me. He sent me for a few tests and I go for a sono on Monday. We paying all out of pocket right now. Looking into financing and my Boyfriends Insurance since we will be getting married. It expensive but not as expensive as we though. 7,000 for IVF. which with my history he thinks anything else will be a waist of time and money. We thought that would be so much more expensive. So I guess a few more tests and then on a New journey we go. I'm even more nervous now. But glad we get at least another chance at this.

Anyone have success stories with getting pregnant on first round of IVF? Simply because we do not think we can afford multiple times. Also whats the difference between frozen implanted and live, which have the better outcome. Thank in advance.

This doctor really angry with my old doctors as he feels they waisted precious time with me and misinformed me about my fertility.

Hi there. I just found this thread. I go see the RE tomorrow (12/2) and I'm really nervous. I'll be 41 next month and me and the DF have been trying for over a year with one loss. I went to see him first in May and he ran some tests so this is my second appt. My Fiance hasn't done any testing yet. I'll be cycle day 2 tomorrow and hoping he can start me on something like Clomid. Do you think he'll run more tests before we start any treatments? Just curious what other people's experiences have been.

Good luck with the app, I just had my sono yesterday and it was my second time there this month and I'm still so nervous. I have a bunch of tests im doing plus my boyfriend has to do a SA. For now, not sure if he will have to do more. He also has gotten my other docs tests to see if I need them redone. Really cant say what your doctor will do as I have already done the clomid route but good luck sweetie.

So my doctor ended up cancelling on me. But I did have an appt. with him back in May, I just never followed up. Thought things might work out naturally. But I did log in to their website and get my test results.

My FSH was 9.7
My AMH was 1.6

Are there any other test results I should be looking at. Everything on what I have looks to be in normal range.

My fiance has a son from a previous relationship so I don't think the problem is him. I'm so confused. What do you think the doctor will do next? I don't want to wait precious cycles on testing, but I know they need to figure out what's wrong before they can help us. So frustrating. Any advice is much appreciated.

No matter what our spouse needs a SA. Things change over the yrs. I had a ton of blood work done I dont think they can find out everything from two blood work and make a plan. I would definitely want to talk to someone in the office to find out what tests you need so you can get them done. So the doctor can determine the best route for you. Please keep me updated.

oh yea I forgot to say how my sono actually went. Everything looks really good. My lining is 8, and my uterus looks good, he cant see what is blocking my right tube from hsg but the blood flow looks good too. The only problem he says is because my age, I only have 7 follicles. Anyone know if that is ok? Have next consultation on Jan 2nd because I have a few more timed blood test. Then we plan action for ivf hopefully .

So I met with the RE. The good news is that some of my bloodwork came back and it was good. The best news being my reserves are actually above average for my age (almost 41).

Me and my fiance need to go for more testing. Me for an HSG test between CD 1 and 3. And him for a semen analysis. (He has a son already from a previous relationship so he thinks it's not him, but we all know what time can do...). Then the doc says we'll most likely do Clomid. I'm super anxious because I'm due to get the witch on Christmas eve. Which means I probably won't get to do the HSG this cycle and will have to wait until January. My fiance doesn't get why I'm so impatient but we've been trying for over a year (one loss last December) and I'm just so tired of the waiting.

Just looking for some people out there that have been through this before and what to expect.

Sorry about your loss, I get just wanting to move froward. It seems like everything just takes forever. I been waiting for my blood work sheet which was supposed to be given to me three weeks ago and If i Get my period This month will be for junk and everything will have to be pushed further away. I keep calling and they keep saying they will do it, but still nothing.
