Sorry your here. It depends really, my public funded one was different to my private one. My NHS appointment they just took our history- both of us and that was about it oh and told us what we would be entitled to and how long we would have to wait.

My private one gave me an internal scan, suggested I have a lap to check my tubes and for endo, took all our history. Our private was through Napro though it wasn't an IVF kinda thing, although its looking like that now.

Thank you,I'll be makin sure they get to the bottom of it,my friend had the same doctor I'm goin to see and she got an hsg baby, what area are u in? X x

My first appointment at a private clinic I had an internal scan, the gyno went through all the outcomes with me and all kinds of treatment for pcos ( that's what I have) my partner was also sent to a private hospital by the clinic for semen test..... u described a lump in your groin area I don't want to scare you but that's what I had befor I got diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome and I found out it was cyst when I didn't have the lump it was because the cyst had burst and I started my period! Good luck lots of baby dust your way

Thanks i was hoping someone could give me some insight as to what it might be,i have a feeling its pcos or endo.

Do you feel a constant dull ache all month but when you ovulate its like a ball in your ovary?? Its very sore sometimes hard to walk.

What do you mean when its not there it means it has burst,do they grow and burst every month?

Sorry for all the questions and lots of luck to you too x x x

hi lala
cant help with the ball feelin. bt with the rest i know exactly how u feel being half a step ahead of u. i had my first appt in sept which was quite brief + as the others have said confirmed my history, weighed me + then told my they wanted to do day3 + day 19 bloods to check my hormones, rubella and ovulation.my dr also wanted me to have a hsg which i had last week.+ have my next appt in jan. unfortunately although my gynae seems great it seems that nothing happens quickly in the early stages of referral in nhs. hope its some help. feel free to ask anything + if i can answer i will

xx

That's great news your tubes are clear and hsg went well! I'm hearing lots of good news after havin a hsg so I'm hoping you get a bfp!! Lots of luck to you and thanks for the info ;) x x

That's true but hsg seems to have a high success rate it could be that u were blocked with mucus but that doesnt show on the xray the dye just moves it along unblocking you at the same time,so think positive for this month and make sure u catch ur date lol :) x x

Yes my groin aches and it's hard to walk yes the cyst burst every month and come back! It's very painful but can be treated in a way that suits you best! All the best hope you get some answers

I'm Glasgow. I suspected endo and thankfully requested a lap and low and behold what did they find?? Endometriosis, they got rid of it there and then. An HSG doesn't show endo or cysts sso I'm glad I had the lap.x

Thats good at least they know what's wrong and they got it all out,was there much damage? I'm in paisley, wot hosp u attending,im rah x x

I went to New Vicki, tbh if I hadn't have suspected and said to them to get rid of endo they would have left it for another time- afteral its called a diagnostic laparoscopy. They found scar tissue caused by endo and didn't treat it and also a blocked tube which they could have tried to unblock but didn't. My experience with the NHS is you need to specify with the specialist what you want them to do if they find it otherwise they will just leave it - I know this sounds like bad practice but literally that's what they do!!!!

Oh dear nhs are hopeless u just need to keep naggin them I think, thanks for the heads up! Best of luck to you if there's a will there's a way, have u ever tried asprin 75mg? I bought it yesterday but think ill wait til my app on Fri and see wot they say,ive got an ultrasound on Thursday so if there's anything wrong there ill know lots of love x x
