First appointment

Hi everyone!! DH and I have our first appt with the fertility specialist on May 20th. I have mixed feelings; happy, excited, nervous.....I dont know what to expect at all. DH sa was ok, count was 165 million motility was really good also (not sure the %) and morphology was 12%
Not really sure about me, my gyno thinks i may have PCOS but never did much testing. We tried clomid but nothing happened at all, I had an ectopic in 09, then had an HSG done last month and it showed everything was clear. Im very confused. I feel like you girls will be able to relate to me a lot more than anyone else.

Anyone have any advice on anything at all, I would love to hear from you!!

Hi Kelly, I can't relate to you but i can tell you about what happened at our FS app.We had our first appointment yesterday not sure but i'm sure they are mostly go over the same and your options for your own personal situation. I was referred but i took with me a print out from DH dr of all his medical history, tests he got done etc and took them with us. I was very nervous going and mixed emotions too. I have PCOS and i was expecting an internal scan and or ultra sound scan... but he mostly focused on DH as he has azoospermia ( no sperm at all in semen) He had bloods done and the FS sent him for a TESA ( biopsy) to see if he's producing any inside but it can't get out. I think it's a good idea to have writen down any questions you have or can think of and take that with you as when you get there your mind goes blank. It's a good thing ur DH SA came back good so i'm sure they will focus on you and test or meds etc. Good luck xx babydust

We recently had our first appt too so thought i would share what happened. Dr went through our likely options based on what we kenw at that time, he said he would like to look into OH sperm morp as only 2% but at this stage not overly concerned with this reading. He ordered a few blood tests for me and im booked in for a laporoscopy next month, so I guess out next appointment will give us a plan, in terms of the intial it was information finding and giving and ordering all the possible tests that dr needs. Good luck and try not to be too nervous mine was lovely and explained evrythign very clearly.xx

Hiya

I also have my appointment on the 20th May. I have had tests etc done by our gyno which are all being passed onto the clinic. I have done all my consent forms also.

So I am hoping that we will discuss the starting date when we go

Thank you all for the encouraging words! Thanks for the idea to write down questions, my brain is all over the place with this so i know i would forget to ask something My doctor said dh morph was low at 12% but it doesn't seem that low to me from reading things online.

No problem Kelly every little helps i've got most my questions from girls off here. I'm not sure about what the normal morph is but i think anything above 15% is a good one so i guess it isn't that far off it. xxx
