Ok so here starts this crazy story. CD 3&4 I took 120 mg of soy CD 5&6 160 mg CD 7 200 mg. Everything seemed to be going fine on CD 10 I had a positive opk CD 11 had a huge dip then CD 12 my temps started going back up slowly like normal. On CD 14 I started spotting and didn't think much of it and I also had another positive opk on this day weird!. On CD 15 my temps dropped (to early for implantation if I did ovulate on CD 11 right). Well I am now on CD 17 and am still spotting /bleeding. It is only when I wipe but have had just a little on liner sorry tmi. The other puzzling thing is CD 15-17 my temps have been low around 97.80 which is normally pre ovulation temps. So has the soy made me not ovulate, did I already ovulate, should I count this as a period or should I keep :sex: bc ovulation is coming late. I am so confused I always ovulate on CD 14 or 15. Between my temps the bleeding and my opk's I honestly don't know what to think. Any ideas or help or would be awesome! Thanks in advance ladies and Gl to everyone!!!

You probably haven't ovulated yet. Soy will give you 'false starts' and sometimes delay your ovulation. There are a couple of current threads around here where ladies are saying that soy delayed their ovulation by a week or two.

Oh wow that's a good while and a bummer. I guess that would explain the low temps maybe my body got ready to ovulate and then didn't. Would this explain the spotting/bleeding to I wonder as I have had ovulation spotting before but it never lasted this long and was only there when I went to the restroom once. Oh so confusing and frustrating to try something that has helped so many and for it to mess me up! Just my luck oh well... thank you for the reply popchick

Do you know if you ovulate on your own? Or are you just taking it for a stronger ovulation?

It could be that you did ovulate on CD11, but maybe you have low progesterone during your LP? Low progesterone will definitely cause spotting.

I do ovulate on KY own normally CD 14 or 15 I just wanted stronger ovulation to help our chances. After trying for so long with no luck I figured it couldn't hurt. And that I know of I have never had low progesterone but have wondered that before. My temp normally rises slow then stay high until the day of af unless the soy has messed with it if that's possible!?

Hi, I ovulated on CD31 on soy. I was panicking about having an anovulary cycle, but that late ovulation enabled me to get pregnant on 1st month of soy, second month TTC.

Try not to worry too much, it will happen for you!!

If you're sure you ovulate on your own, i would probably stay away from the soy....it seems to throw a lot of people off.

Maybe look into Vitex? It will help to regulate your hormones.

Congrats on your bfp! I just wished I had some answers bc if this is my period way early then I would need to be taking the soy again rigkfht now... I guess the only thing I can do is wait and see if I ovulate if not I will have to wait on next cycle. To bad it isn't like when I got pregnant with DS 2 and had light bleeding for my first two months and I didn't know I was pregnant. I wonder why its so easy when you not trying lol

My cycle length got shorter and I had an early super strong ovulation when my naturopath doctor upped my dose of vitex. I take it in liquid form and she ordered me to take 2.5 tbspns of it each morning cd1-O, that's the month (Sept) that I fell pregnant. I'm 37 and m/c tho, so we'll try again this month. Taking vitex again, loved the results it gave us!

I'm not sure if it has vitex in it but last cycle I tried fertilaid for women because I had read great reviews on it and had taken it before with success. This time when i took it, it made me ovulate on cd 18 and i had a 34 day cycle. Longest cycle i have had since i started ttc. When I got my bfp in Dec 2009 I was also using fertilaid but it sadly ended at 11 wks 5 days (not saying it was the fertilaid at all). So I'm not really sure what to do now I have tried doing nothing at all (no supplements) and we have tried with so many different things over the years. Its just so frustrating and at some points makes me just wanna give up on it all together!

All three of my docs, fam, fertility & naturopath told me to stay away from soy as it's been linked to infertility with so many studies. I'll only be trying it once I have a few failed ivf's and we're about to move on to adoption. Fertilaid won't have the dose of vitex that taking it in liquid pure form will. If your luteal phase needs more length should lengthen it, if it needs shortening, it should sort that because it works to balance the hormones. Have you had your hormone levels tested?

No I haven't had my hormones tested. My m/C's were close to a year and a half apart and my doctor wouldn't do any testing until after 3 m/C's idk. We recently moved to Texas and am waiting on our insurance to start. My doctor I see here for my allergies and just general check ups wants to start testing as soon as I have insurance. He said he has no doubt I have some kind of hormonal imbalance due to the m/c's and I had no problems with my first two pregnancies. It all started after I had my iud taken out. I looked up liquid vitex on Amazon what kind did you use? Is there a specific kind I need?

Whole Foods should have some liquid vitex. Botanica is the brand I use, they have the Chaste Tree label.
