So this cycle started on 27th Feb and I am currently on CD23. I'm using metformin as I have PCOS and have regular 35-40 day cycles. My pre-conception GP appointment, my GP said she guessed I would ovulate around day 21.
It's my first cycle charting and also the first month of TTC so I just wanted some reassurance what I'm seeing is real/and get any advice.
I'm using the Femometer Vinca thermometer and app and using cheap NHS grade LH sticks from Amazon. I have been charting BBT since 17th Feb and doing LH strips pretty much every day as its still really novel to me and I'm all keen and interested
So my LH has been between 0-14 (ie negative test) on the app until CD20 when I got a reading of 17, then CD21 it was reading 37 and a much darker test line than previously, then yesterday, CD22 I got a whopping reading of 77 and a positive OPK with the lines pretty much as dark as I've seen them. ( please see pics).
On CD19 I got a lot of really watery CM (i thought I was wetting myself on a walk with my SO) and I read this CM can be fertile or a sign of more fertile CM to come?
I also have had vivid nightmares CD 21/22 which I always put down to O since they always get pretty nuts mid-cycle.
On CD22 I got EWCM, my cervix was SHOW and I got the + OPK, plus I had been having mild cramps for a few days which I always theorised were ovulation cramps. So we did the old BD.
Then this morning I did my BBT and it had risen by 0.2°c exactly! Not as steep a rise as other pictures (although FF makes it look much steeper than the femometer app) I have included a pic of my chart so far also.
I posit I must have ovulated somewhere between getting the + OPK on the morning of CD22 (Yesterday) and between this morning when my Temp went up. Is that right or am I missing something? It does seem a rather short turnaround from LH surge to BBT rise and I wondered if anyone else had experienced this.
I know it sounds weird but I'm feeling really optimistic about this and I've been having mild cramps all day today which is fuelling my hope! I am a level headed person so I'm not going to jump the gun but at the same time I feel really good. Does this mean I'm a now in the 2WW club?
It's my first time charting and I'm just hoping my calculations are right. Thanks for reading and thanks so much for commenting
