we have been ttc now for just over 1 year and i know we need to see doctor but keep putting if off, just not sure what to expect at first appointment and what happens after that? is there a long wait between appointments

The wait between depends on what your dr decides to do. The visit should be pretty basic, lots of questions and maybe a physical exam if you haven't had one recently. Maybe blood work if they want find out something soon.

Depends on what type of doctor....family doc might refer you do ob doc. I went in for my pap and talked to them about it and that was my first appointment. First just told them what was going on and they decided to do a full panel of blood work and had my husbands SA done. Then decided to go from there. I do wish I had used ovulation sticks more before I went. And had the data from it. Would of helped the process. BUT every doctor is different.....about to go to my first fertility specialist appointment myself! Ob can't help me anymore... :/
