First Doctor's Appt?

Hi ladies - I just got my BFP yesterday and this is my first pregnancy. I called my Obgyn to make an appointment and they scheduled me for the 8 weeks mark and said I don't need to come in before that. Should I try to get an appointment with my general doctor before that or is it okay to wait until 8 weeks? Thanks!

Its fine to wait till 8 weeks, unless you have specific questions or an issue you want to speak to doctor about

That sounds pretty normal. I would wait for the appointment unless any issues arise.
