Hello!
Normally they will do the sit down conversation, how long have you been trying, what are your cycles like, do you temp yada yada.
They should schedule bloods, normally drawn on day 3 and 21 of your cycle, to confirm if you ovulate. The first appointment should really be some discussion and booking of appointments. Depending on what they find with blood work it could go something like ours did, but depends on your Dr.
For us, after blood work came back normal we scheduled a HSG for me to check tubes and blood work and SA for my husband. After that came back clear we scheduled a lap.
After that we were transferred to a specialist.
I have heard some Drs after hearing no sucess for a year will put your straight to fertility specialist, but we were not so lucky.
Good luck.
