First home, first Christmas!

So in other words, as well as buying Christmas presents for everyone I also have to buy a tree and all the decorations for the flat too!

Does anyone know of any websites where I might be able to get a bargain?

A bit closer to Christmas Argos sometimes have great deals on their Xmas trees, we paid full price for ours in the middle of November then in December it was half price Can't remember how much it was though..

I don't know of any websites though because I like to look and touch things before I buy them I'm definitely not an internet shopper

Not sure but our 1st Xmas we bought a box of cheap baubles, nothing fancy and got lots for our money. Possibly wilkos but coulda been somewhere else.

We stuck with the cheap ones and slowly add to them each year.

Not sure about trees, we got a bargain in woolies with ours.

Yeah we got some nice baubles and some good quality LED lights from Wilko for pretty cheap. Tesco have nice stuff aswell

asda usually do good deals on their decerations also poundland had some fab things in last year

Ooh yes, Poundland have really nice stuff most years, also Pound Stretcher is quite good for decorations. I keep buying decorations if I see nice ones but I never spend much on them!

My sister has said I can have her old tree, but it's a bit skinny I might have to get some of that lametta stuff to make it not look so naked lol... I'm going to ask family for their cast offs too!

Keep looking around hun.. My mum got these gorgeous ornaments for her tree in the pound shop.. Everyone keeps commenting on them but when she tells them where they were from they dont believe her.

Its also my first year in my first place and my mum has kindly given me her tree she bought last year as she wants a bigger one and I need a tall skinny one! She also gave me some decs but I still needs bits like lights and that and the best lights I have seen so far are from homebase my mum got them last year and although they are £30 they are gorgeous, they have 4 different settings!

They sound like my parent's lights, they have a variety of settings too.

My Mum keeps talking about getting a slimline tree.... In which case I can nab her gorgeous 5 ft one! I don't think I will be able to get many decs from Mum though, as last year at hers we were a whole box of decs short... we think we left them in the other house's loft!

I am going to grill her on the tree when I see her later today I'll definitely make a visit to Poundland/Stretcher... not sure where my nearest are, but must have one somewhere.

I am like a big kid, I want it to be December now so I can get my decs up lol
