First midwife appointment - Edinburgh..??

Does anyone have any idea what to expect? What will happen? It's January 16th so still a decent amount of time away but I was told next to nothing when I phoned to book it..

I'm further north than Edinburgh but I would imagine first apps would be fairly similar. At mine I got a quick scan(isn't always the norm but we weren't sure of my dates so she wanted to know just incase my nt scan had to be sooner rather than later) and then you fill out a bunch of paper work,asking about medication,family medical history etc and then do bloods. They plan out your pregnancy as such,give you some bumf to read up on and warn you of all the things to do/not to do.

Ah cool, thanks for that! My dates are a bit of an anomaly too.. hopefully I'll get a scan! Even though I booked a private one, I wouldn't say no to another heh.
