Hi there, this is my first time on this forum, or really being any part of any message board, but I guess I just needed to hear from people going through the same thing in a similar situation.

I just found out I was pregnant about a week ago after about 7 or 8 months of trying (which is really expensive when you have to use a donor and a doc!). Anyway, it just seems like the days are dragging by. I'm nervous every day that something will go wrong.....really every hour! I've heard about the statistics for pregnancy complications and it scares the crap out of me!

I guess my question is, how long will this last? Will I relax? After the first trimester? Will I be a nervous wreck throughout this entire pregnancy? I'm trying so hard not to get excited because I'm so afraid of something going wrong!

Thanks for any advice you might have :)

Oh, and I'm only 5 weeks along so I'm not talking to any of our friends and family about it yet.

Just try and relax and have faith in your body and if anything bad happens then cross that bridge when you get to it x

Hi! Me too to everything you posted above! Ive had one chemical and we are out of money to try again right now, so Im praying this one sticks. Ive had lots of mysterious pains which scare the crap out of me. Every time I look up a symtom, it says it could be related to pregnancy or something worse related to the m word. I talk to my nurse for a few minutes a week. Def not enough to reassure me! We had great numbers at last blood test and waiting to see heartbeat this week. Eat as much fruit and veg as you can. The first few weeks your baby makes all its organs. Good luck :-)

I was terrible in the first tri constantly checking Every time I went to the loo but it does get better :) it never completely goes away but you seat to get excited as you see your belly grow.. just try to relax xx

Thanks so much guys. I feel like I'm starting to relax a bit. I have my first appointment for blood work and stuff tomorrow at 1:30. But I don't think I'll really feel better until I hear that heartbeat and finish the first trimester!

Thanks again for the encouragement. I really should get on this site more....
