First Response Fertility Test

Ladies I'm so upset and freaking out I'm 25..... I took this test and got these awful results.... Help me please does anyone know anything about this test? Has anyone taken it the same day as a fsh blood draw if so what were your levels?
Ok so below is my test and I am doing an FSH blood test next cycle day three I will take another fertility test to compare.
On page four we have Megg33ks test it is a normal result she had a blood level at around three and took this test for me on day four after I had freaked about my test.
Also 10nottoomany has been so wonderful and posted a picture of her test cd3 on page 3 she is awaiting her blood results which were drawn the same day. Thank you so much 10nottoomany!!!!! I will update this as soon as we know.
I really hope that we can help anyone/everyone who takes this test and I am praying that both myself and 10nottoomany have a normal range with our blood results.
Update 10nottoomany had a fsh of 7.9!! That is a fine result I am really wondering why it would look like that on her test and still have a healthy result but I must say I am relieved! Her update is on page 4 and picture is on page 3.

I don't think that result is bad because it's nit as dark as the control line. But hold please.
Gonna look it up to double check!

Okay so I just looked at pics and such and it does look like youR fsh level is elevated because your lines look fairly similar. You Kindof want your test line to belighter than the control, noticably! Don't be scared. Everything is okay. You should however talk to your doctor about this. I wish you lots of luck!!!

Thank you feelcrazy I'm terrified and I have an appointment but it's next tuesday so I won't have answers till next cycle day three... My heart hurts so badly I'm only 25.... I can't believe this I'm so sad......

I dunno. I google image that product, many people getting faint line.
Your line actually is quite strong compared to other people's.

I think it's not a reliable product to see if you're fertile or not.
It is either giving false hope or making you depressed.
eventhough it gives the bold line, there're other factors that can make a person hard to conceive, like the PCOS, cervix shape, your hubby's sperm count etc etc

Hey Lil!
From what I've read your levels could be elevated from your recent loss. I think it's a good idea to ask your doctor about it but please try not to worry till then.

How old is your youngest baby? It says being postpartum can affect results.

Mine looked like that last month it was the only month i've ever used them. I have PCOS and some ladies with it experience elevated LH levels which would cause this problem with OPK's. I called my doc and my lst couple blood test did not show elevated LH...she (her nurse) told me not to worry about those things and to BD as much as possible around the fertile time just to be sure. So if I were you I wouldn't bother with them...I have heard wonderful things about the Clear blue Fertility Moniter though, maybe you could look into that.

Hey thank you for posting! My youngest is two that picture is his newborn form October 2008
Amy thanks I didn't want to freak out on the ttc forum just because I tend to do that there a lot lol I really pray that my Mc's has caused this but it's been 60 plus days since the dande so...... I just can't fathom the idea of ovarian failure I will say this if everything is normal First response will hear from me!!!!! I have been a mess since I have taken that test and my dreams of a baby have slipped away and I keep trying to reach for that little one only to loose grasp of him again I'm so scared......
Angttc.... I have LH surges that last for 3days at least the last two months have been that way I wonder if they are related to each other??

Honey this is a "fertility" test that measures FSH which is supposed to tell you about your ovarian reserve....

OhOH edit I forgot.... My temps seem outrageously low..... last cycle and this cycle.... again adding to me fears...

Question--- why is this supposed to be done on day 3.. .I took one of these last month b/c i thought it was an opk, and mine looked just like yours, but it was day like 17 or something... so now im starting to worry. i didnt realize until recently it was a fertility test not an OPK. if i had a strong line on day 17 is that bad? im on day 6 now so its too late to take one this month and see what it is. CRAP

Yeah it's too late to take it... and at cd17 those results are way invalid!! I wouldn't worry about it but if you wanted to do it on cd3 next cycle then that would be when it should be done it's done on this day because fsh shouldn't be so high on cd3 and if you got a result like mine on cd17 then I wouldn't bother to test again plus it has totally stressed me out to the point of tears!! Gl sweetie if you do it I hope your test is better than mine!
