My best friend went in for her 12 week ultrasound and was told that there was never a heartbeat. She miscarried a few days later.
My sister's friend went for one at 10 weeks and...same thing.
I hate that I have to wait for my 12 week scan to know if I'm carrying an actual developing baby or just dead tissue.
Am I the only one who absolutely can't stand the wait for their first scan but, at the same time, is terrified that it's going to reveal no baby?
My friend got a scan at 6 weeks. Apparently, around here, if you say you don't know when you conceived, they send you in for a dating ultrasound, right away. She knew this trick so she got to see her baby's heartbeat at 6 weeks. I wish I would have known!
Anyone else waiting impatiently? I'll be 9 weeks, tomorrow.
