First shoes

When do you go to get your LO's first shoes fitted? Grace is crawling a lot now but she isn't walking yet so I don't think she would benefit from shoes but then I saw on the internet that there are such thing as shoes for crawlers? I've tried just putting on other shoes but her feet are weirdly shaped, the front of them won't fit into the front of the shoe so her heels are half out of them so if she gets shoes they will have to be fitted ones I think

I dont know if the stores are the same...but we have williams which specifically fits shoes..

Any higher end dep. store should have fitters there..

Goodluck :D

We did soft soled shoes, you just measure the bottom of their feet and they are based on that, since they dont' actually "fit" to their feet like a hard soled shoe does. They are supposed to be best too because it lets their feet develop better instead of having them in harder shoes. They are great for walkers too because its likethey are barefoot almost but it protects their feet

I don't think they need shoes until they start toddling. Clarks do 'cruising'?? shoes. They are quite soft. best to get them measured

Clarks do shoes from crawling and i recommend getting them as ella learnt pretty fast to stand and walk around :)

Caitlyn's first shoes were crawlers from clarks. Really soft and helped her grip on our wood floor better

xx

a chriopodist once told me its better until they are walking before u get them shoes as it can change the shape of thier feet.
I will be waiting until Jack takes his first steps. He already crawls with ease and crusies around furniture and stuff so im not worried about them yet. (although they are mega cute) x

Alasdair has fat feet and even in clarks he won't be able to have shoes until he is properly walking. I used to work for clarks kids actually and we were always told shoes before babies are walking shouldn't be advised. But they didn't even do crawlers then I don't think! Ally crawls and cruises without shoes too so I don't think he needs them yet.

That's the thing, Grace is fine crawling on carpet but she is usually on wooden floor so she slides all over the place.

I suppose I could go into Clarks and ask whether I should wait till she's walking

Clarks wouldn't sell me walking shoes untill I showed her that Caitlyn could walk 5 steps with her arms by her side x

ive got summer some cruisers, the main reason i did this is because when we go out she likes so have a 'walk' round the park etc even tho she isnt actually walking on her own yet, and her pram shoes (just material ones) were getting ruined so know she can have a go at walking anywhere without ruining her shoes, plus they help her grip and i do think they support there feet and ankles better, she is not far off walking now so prob by the time she grows out of these cruisers she will be in walkers.

the crawlers and cruisers from clarks look great for helping babies to get from the crawling stage to the walking stage
