Please accept my apologies if this posting causes any offence but I’m a researcher at Blast! Films, and we are currently making a series of documentary films for the BBC exploring the experiences of grandparenting which will look at the broad spectrum of issues surrounding grandparenting from becoming one for the first time to grandparents who solely raise their grandchildren.
Perhaps you are about to become a parent for the first time and your parent a grandparent for the first time? There are many challenges for grandparents today and we would like to hear personal experiences of what these are.
At this stage we are only looking to talk to families informally to make the best possible BBC series that is informative, accurate and rewarding, and that will be achieved by talking to as many families as possible and with any help you are happy to give.
