Hi ladies,

This is my first month TTC and so I'm using OPKs...I'm currently on CD14, and I will continue to do tests daily until I get my positive! I thought I'd post these so I have them all together.

So, here are my tests so far:

Would you ladies say my LH surge is coming soon? I do have a long cycle of around 35 days, so not sure if this is too soon or not.

Also, the directions say that time of day doesn't matter, but does it?

Thanks for any opinions! :) :dust:

LOL don't worry I'll still be your buddy! :winkwink:

I guess just in case we should start BDing a lot, right?

Yes m'aam! Any idea if it makes a difference to take it at different times in the day?

Just added an OPK from 10 am this morning - CD15. I definitely see it's a little darker than yesterday and more filled in.

I'll do another POAS when I get home this evening (working today), and try it again as I used FMU for this 10 am test. I've read using afternoon pee can be better at detecting a surge. We'll see!

I reckon you are just hours away! Good luck! X

Time of day does make a difference, but the important thing is you should be testing at the same time of day. I find my tests have the strongest lines at about 9am, and then get lighter if I do them later in the day -- except on the day it is positive, when it will be strong all day. You might have a different pattern.
They say it's possible to miss a surge, and if so, to test twice a day, but I never have.
xx

Very helpful advice, thanks! X

Okay, so after a lighter OPK last night and this morning, I think I've determined that my O isn't ready to happen quite yet, and the darker readings I was getting on May 20th (CD15) was just a fluke.

Also, I have creamy CM right now, so no EWCM yet. I think once that makes an appearance hopefully my OPKs will darken down again.

Have any of you ladies also seen fluctuations like this well before your O was due? This is my first month charting so I am still a beginner. Just in case I will continue testing once a day, probably in the late morning as that's when I get the best results it seems.

I'm just hoping it comes soon - I'm getting SO impatient!

May 19th looks quite dark? Am not sure, do you temp as well?

Yep, I have been temping also. I'm not perfect at waking at the same time everyday, but I think my temps have been pretty consistent for most of the month. If you have a sec, please let me know what you think. I thought at first it was a bit jumpy but then compared to other FF charts it looks pretty normal. Not sure what the spike in temp is at the beginning of the cycle...probably just a fluke.

You can check out my chart here: https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/352eb7

My CM has been creamy, and it's only just now turning more watery, so I'm hoping EWCM is on its way!

I plan on taking another OPK today around 2 PM, as that time is supposed to be better for results. I will post the latest test results on the first page of this thread.

Just posted today's results from 2:30 PM - looks like it's darkening again, but I'm not paying too much attention to it until it's a true positive (as dark as or darker than the control line).

Good news though...I've had my first real sign of EWCM this cycle! Fingers X O is coming in the next couple days!

I'm now CD18, and while I haven't seen a positive OPK today yet, the good news is I saw a big dip in my BBT, which apparently signals that ovulation is about to occur! So I am hoping this is true, and plan to take another OPK this evening to see if there's a change.

Has anyone else seen their temp drop before Oing? If so, how far before?

It should be coming soon- I generally get mine around 15 cd to 18 cd (with my cycles being about 30 cd more or less).

Keep an eye on that and keep peeing on those sticks. Good luck!

I think mine drop the day before I get the ovulation. You can see my charts on ff by clicking on my ticker with the butterfly on it.

Yep looks like O day is very close. Fx for that dark line and temp rise!

xx
