First time with Clomid..so many questions!! Please Read :)

I am just starting clomid for the first time today. my doctor started me at 50 MG just to start out. They have me taking it for 5 days starting today. Then i got back in on May 10th for them to check to see if I ovulated and they are going to give me a shot that is suppose to make me ovulate? I am so confused how this all works...i mean could i get pregnant before i go in? Is it better to take Clomid before bed or the morning? Any information on clomid or that ovulation shot would be SOOO much appreciated! I have been trying for over 3 years to get pregnant and they are making it seem like within the next couple months i will be expecting...I just dont want to be let down again

you might get cort in your 1st month hun i took my last 3 months in a morning and this 4th month i took it at night you might get hot flushes at first off it but its nothing to worry about xx xx fx you get your lots of baby xx xx

I really have a good feeling I will end up pregnant soon. I am just terrified after reading how many people have miscarriages. Is there a way to prevent it? I guess i'm not sure about a lot of this stuff. I am used to NEVER having periods or timing anything...:S

you can start taking folic acid now and pregnace and tell your partner to take wellman's vitamins you can also get some ovulation test kits to see if you are ovulating you count 14days after you first period hun you can also get some conceive plus or preseed or zestic spray they are all lubricants they are all sperm friendlyalso there is a clomid clud thread you can joyn there all very help full xx xx

They should be monitoring you and then they will trigger you to ovulate. DH and I also did IUI with the clomid, and I know they triggered so they could control timing. I believe it was hCG, and it was an IM shot. If you are doing IUI, you probably won't be able to get pregnant before going in, they say not to have sex for a couple of days before so that the sample from OH is good quality.

Ya they told me to BD the night before i go in and then they are going to give me the shot...I hope it works! They took my hubbys sperm count and said it was amazing so he is fertile! Its just me
