Hi ladies,

I'm almost 7 weeks pregnant. When I will be 9,5 weeks my hb and I are going on a trip abroad. We're going by plane and have a few long and active days planned while there. We have pre-booked a couple of tours.

My problem right now is that I have about all the pregnancy symptoms u can think off, except for throwing up (so far). I don't know how to get trough a day without at least 20 stops at a toilet and taking a nap.

Should I just stay in the hotel all days while my hb goes on the tours? Or is it wiser to cancel the whole trip?

When we started to ttc we didn't expect we'd be so lucky to conceive so soon :happydance: and we are really happy and excited. I just don't know how to handle the vacationplans.

Any tips/advice/experiece on how to deal with this?

Maybe just go and take each day as it comes? You can do half the tours maybe - and go back to the hotel if you start feeling tired (or stay and nap on your bus with the driver). Why cancel? It could be a while before you can go again!

I am going to dominican republic on monday, a 10 hour flight. And am taking anti malaria tablets. Doctors said they advise not to go as there's a slight risk of it being a malaria zone but we don't really intend to go out of resort esp not on safari kind of tours anyway. But we would lose £4000 if we didn't go. And they've said the meds are find to take so I'm taking the meds and just taking extra precautions

I just plan on taking each day as it comes. Plenty of suncream and shade, stay well hydrated and lots of naps. Be careful with salads and fruit, ice cubes etc if it's a country where you don't drink their water.

And if you use mozzie repellent don't use deet. Look up where the nearest hospital is and take your notes in case you need them

Put your feet up and enjoy it!
