Flemmy throat?!

I've figured out that's what's making me sick 80% of the time. Is there any way I can get rid of itt?

put some salt in a cup
then boil the kettle and pour in the water
let it cool then gargle and spit
it tastes yucky but i do this all the time and it helps with sore throats too !
