My stomach is very sensitive & I'm worried about taking prenatals. Are Flintstones really a safe substitute? If so, which ones & how many?

I take the flinstones ones but they only have half the folic acid you need so I take another 400mcg of folic acid, my dr. said it was fine.

i don't know about the flinstone vitamins but i just wanted to mention the prenatals i am taking. i am taking pregvit prenatals. they are split up into 2 pills a day, so there is less to cause a tummyache.

good luck finding something that won't make you sick :)

SOOOOOOOOO Funny I take the Flintstones sour gummies I love love love them, my other prenatal pills came right back up so I opted for the flintstones nd glad I did. I take 2 of them

my doctor told me it was better to take the flinstone vitamins, he said it's better to take those than prenatals and end up upchucking them and end up without vitamins at all. Lol.
SonI will be buying some.

and ought sour flinstones!? Didn't know t hat had those yummy!!

The sour ones look so good! Although I think that's just because I've been craving anything sour..

I was at the store the other day reading the labels of both the gummies & regulars. Regular has 400mcg of Folic Acid while the gummies have 200mcg. I read you're supposed to have a minimum of 600mcg of FA but I don't want to take 2 of the regulars & end up OD'ing on the other vitamins that are in there!! (Wait... is that even possible?! Lol!)

I take a flintstone with a folic acid supplement and a chewable dha. I got the folic and dha from GNC the folic os so tiny I just chew it with the flintstone. The DHA make me ill so I take it later in the day alone.

Just add a folic acid pill to them. Mine I am suppose to swallow but it melts on contact so I just chew it with the other vitamin.

Also I think the gummies might not have iron or be low on them. I looked at my SIL at christmas but I honestly forgot already.

I use to take VitaFusion Prenatal Gummies--at least I think thats the name. I've gotten them from Target and Walgreens. I took them to my dr appt on Tuesday and he said they were fine. The only thing is they don't have any iron. None of the gummy prenatals did that I saw. I need iron and can't swallow pills, so I changed to Belly Bar Chewable Prenatals. They have everything and doc said those are good too.

Did they make you sick at all? I wonder if you can take those along with an iron supplement...?

I can't take any supplements because I can't swallow pills. The Belly Bar Chewable Prenatals have everything, including correct amounts of folic acid and iron, so that's what I take. Noe, no stomach problems.

I take the vitafusion gummy prenatals too. No upset tummy.

Try taking VitaFusion Gummies. They are sweet flavored gummies and work great with me, as I have a sensitive tum as well. You just might want to take an additional calcium and iron pill everyday if you do not get enough of either through your diet:)
