Flogging a dead horse! Sorry long, but advice welcome!

I supplemented! I gave an ounce of formula just before the 11pm (ish - not on a schedule obvs) feed just to take the edge off his hunger and then I'd do a quick swap to breast so he barely noticed. I started this on day 9, gave the last one on day 24, been EBF ever since. You do what you have to do. I also have an almost 3year old and my tears affected him too. I'm sure you already know this re supply, but lots of oats (flapjacks anyone?!), iron rich food, keep hydrated, lots of skin to skin, let him comfort suckle whenever you can, nurse in the bath (womb like), no perfumes or deodorants, baby wear so you can keep him close. I am taking domperidone and it helps tremendously. I also take fenugreek.

I really hope my gp gives it to me and that it works. I'm doing everything I can already, I just need some extra help! If it comes down to it, it should be possible to feed from one breast shouldn't it? Women with twins can breastfeed, so it must be!

Maybe you can feed from the one side and pump the other. Then you will have BM to give if you need to supplement. I had to use formula in the beginning, I still put him to breast all the time, but I needed something extra after feeds sometimes.
