Is an increase in discharge common in the last trimester? I had a bit of what looked like discharge leak out into the toilet, so I couldnt really measure it to see if I should be worried about it being waters, but at least some of it was the milky consistency. She's still moving around plenty, should I be worried?

Increased discharge is completely normal, sometimes I swear It feels like i peed myself but its just discharge.

And also if it was your waters guaranteed you would be feeling contractions immediately

Throw on a pad. If your still noticeably leaking in half an hour I'd call your doctor/hospital. Increased discharge is normal but it shouldn't be...gushing or anything!

Agree with everyone else, discharge is normal, and sometimes you might pee yourself a little without realizing it. Ahh the beauties of being pregnant, lol.

That not necessarily true. Two women I know just had their waters break at 32/33 weeks and neither of them had contractions immediately. They had light back pain, but that was it.

I didnt get a pad (they were downstairs) but I did toss some toilet paper down there and no more leaking so I think i'm good. Thanks everyone =]

The chances of not getting contractions with in a few hours or immediately after are very low, Not to mention its a higher chance you will have contractions prior to your waters breaking.

Common Signs of Water Breaking

Most women won't have their water break until after they have started having contractions and are part way into labor. However, 13-20% of women will have their water break before they start having contractions.

Gushing is one common sign of water breaking. This isn't always the case, but it often is.

  • Large amounts of fluid trickling from the vaginal area.
  • Very wet panties upon waking up.
  • You are wetting a pad consistently and don't think that it is urine.

This is also in the book my dr gave me, For OP.

What If I Don't Know?

Not every woman knows right away. If you aren't in labor or you have problems with a leaking bladder it becomes harder to recognize the signs of your water breaking. First, don't feel odd if you think you might have broken your water, but you aren't sure. Instead, go to a bathroom and check your underwear. If you can change your underwear or add a pad. Then go home and lay down for about a half an hour. During that time try and relax. After about a half an hour get up and go to the bathroom. If you underwear or pad is wet again then check its color. Is it dark or clear (or almost clear)? If it is clear it is probably amniotic fluid. Urine usually has a color. Smell it. If it smells like bleach it is probably amniotic fluid, but if it smells like urine it is probably urine. If you still don't know then give your doctor a call. He or she will either have you come into the office for a test or send you to the hospital.

same as everyone else said.. I had so much on some days that I had no choice but to wear pads so that I didn't get caught out & end up looking like i'd wet myself  x

I had increased discharge from the beginning of my pregnancy right through to the end. Nice!!!
xx

I had an insane increase! I went up hospital twice thinking my waters had gone, and when they did I barely noticed :/
