Follie Tracking Scan After Clomid

Hi ladies

I am taking Clomid CD 5-9. This is my first month. I called my ob/gyn to see when I should come in for a scan. The nurse said to come in on CD 11 or 12 to track my ovulation. I thought this seemed a bit early to me, but I've been googling and apparently there are women who have scans on CD 11. Last month when I had a scan (before being put on Clomid ob wanted to make sure I had no cysts) I was CD 12 and had a 13mm follie. So, I'm assuming then that CD 11 wouldn't be too early?

I'm also having sharp pain in my left ovary which makes me think that CD 11 isn't too early. But I'm confused as other women seem to be going for their scans later in their cycle.

Anyone have any insight?

They can scan you then hun, they just want to monitor the size of the follicle, they can gather from that whether clomid is effective, they don't want to leave it too late xx

Hi im starting round 5 of clomid tomorrow. i have folli tracking done every month and have my scan done on day 14 if they ask you in on day 11 or 12 and your folli is a bit small then they usualy ask you back a day or 2 later for a second scan.

Same for me. I started scans around CD12 and then went every few days until the follicle was big enough. Good luck!

krissi I am new here for about 2 weeks, and I have a question for you had my tubal reversal done april 11 2011,by Dr. Richard Levin In Louiville Kenyucky, so it has been very hard, I am 40 and my hub. is 50, well I am still not pregnant. doing temperatyre chart doc. says they look good and had a fsh done doc. says that looks great, I have tried everything temp chart,OPKs,bedding everyday during fertile period to every other day, 2 days before OpK is positive the 2 days after, using preseed,each bedding time,on prenatals since the start of sergery, legs up after bedding laying for about 30 min..I just dont know what else to do??? Someone had mentioned weather I had a ultasound for follies If I had any eggs??? wouldnt you know that with fsh??? and ovulation???? If the turn out is I have no eggs What do I do????? Is ther meds to produce eggs???? I would greatly appriciate any feedback I you have any????? WORRIED PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

This is a really old post .... What I can tell you is that although you may have eggs according to your fsh they might not have matured enough for them to pop through .... ie they grow the first 14-20 days depending on when you ovulate then they pop.... An Ultra sound will tell you if they are maturing and ready to pop... Ive been put on clomid to help stimulate mine as it was taking 33 days for me to ovulate. Hey presto this month I ovulated on day 19 ( had a scan 2 days before it and they could tell me that i had 3 ripe little eggs waiting to go !)

Jakkiw2 thankyou so very much and yes that does help, so if doc. puts me on clomid will that help? I am very happy for youthat you now have good eggs I will keep you in my prayers, It is so easy to get pregnant when you are younger, I wish I would not have waited so long to try again< but took time to save money for the reversal it eas 64,000 that does not fall in your lap if you know what I mean, I do hope it happens for me soon just didnt think it was going to take this long, I hope: we can be buddies it would be great I have a thread with just me on it intitled LMP was 10/21/11 26 to28 day cycle need a buddiedont really have one just yet.lots of to you and thankyou again. hope you get a BFP very soon.
