follow on milk

Hi all anyone use follow on milk? Is it any good which one do you use? Is it thicker than standard formula

I use hipp follow on milk as I used hipp first milk. The consistency is the same really. Don't think the baby noticed any difference either way really x

I tried it, it didnt seem to fill my LO up so went back to his normal milk x

I used follow on with Dd and am now with ds. Used aptamil and some cow and gate with Dd and noticed no difference except it needing to be vigorously shaken to mix. Ds is on hipp but I do find it thicker. He's on gaviscon too but if he has some first milk, which he sometimes still has, his teats drown him but the teats down are too slow with follow on.

My hv advises to keep LO's on the stage 1 milk as long as they are happy with it, follow on milk has little additional benefit but is more expensive apparently!

I'm not sure where your HV is coming from there. Follow on is definitely cheaper and can be put on offers unlike first milk. However there is no real nutritional need to switch.
