Just been back to the hospital this afternoon for our 2nd appointment with the FS - Looks as though we will need IVF/ICSI.
We both knew we were heading that way as my OH has poor motility. The good news is all my tests have come back ok and my age is on our side.
I came out of the appointment abit disappointed tbh, we saw a different FS (a guy this time) and he just came across as being quite negative. I dont think he was meaning to be, at the end of the day we need to know the risks and facts but he could of been abit more up beat about it all!!!
He said there was only 30 something % of the treatment working
and there is no chance of us even starting this year. They are moving to a new building and not even booking any appointments to see the nurse until Jan/Feb next year so god knows how long it will be before we even get onto the waiting list.
We have to self fund and when I asked what the difference between private and self funding was, he said not much. Going Private you are under the care of one doctor, where as self funding you just see whoever is available.
I hate all this waiting around!!!
