Sometimes I can run my hand over LO's head (like I'm petting her hair) and feel the edges of her fontanelle (soft spot). Does that qualify as sunken? It seems to change throughout the day, sometimes I can feel edges, sometimes I can't. Not like I'm poking my fingers in there, this is just from running my hand across her head.
Not like it's deep enough to put things in, I can just feel the edges and a slight dip.
Is that level of sunken normal?
I'm just paranoid because I have low milk supply so we're about 2/3 to half formula, 1/3 to half breast milk (I guess?). She has plenty of wet/dirty nappies and her skin isn't dry or anything. As I said, just paranoid.

this happens to my baby too. one night it was so sunken i actually called my doctor and he sent an ambulance (!!) she was checked out and was fine- apparently some babies are just prone to having a sunken fontanelle sometimes. i was told to press on her breast bone with one finger for five seconds, when you let go the colour should come back in 2 seconds, longer could be a sign of dehydration.

My boys always seemed to look sunken but their dr was never concerned. I think diff babies feel/look different, my oldest you could tell just looking at him there was a slight dip where it was. If it seems more than normal I'd be concerned but if that is like it always is I'm sure it's fine.
