So, I am sitting here, munching on some olives... They seem 'off' to me. Then, I had a bit of leftover lasagna and that seemed off too. I don't get it. Is that actually something that happens? Or am I so worried about actually eating something bad that I am thinking everything is off? Did that make sense?

One of the major symptoms of pregnancy is Hypersensitivity of the nose, so your sense of smell should be loads better.

the sense of smell massively effects the taste of food (try eating an apple and a potato slice holding your nose and you wont be able to tell difference!)

Possibly the sense of smell is making foods smell different (stronger and more vibrant?) and thats why they smell funny?

I know tomato based sauces are too rich for my little nose atm, it just shuts down and goes BAD BAD BAD

I had that with my first and now experiencing it with this one as well. I don't like it because I have no appetite :(

was a symptom for me first time round. i have no appetite whatsoever with this one, i'm having to force myself to eat one meal a day! x

I was just talking to a couple of friends about this. NOTHING tastes right to me. Everything has a weird texture too. I was eating some broccoli and cheddar cream soup and I felt like I could taste every ingredient individually and it was very grainy and gross. Every person I talked to who is either pregnant or a mom said they had the same thing!

Good to know I'm not the only one! Fiance is getting concerned because I'm not hungry!!

Ah lol thanks ladies. The odd part is I just eat anyway.

Hi! I had that last week (week 9) - it happened only once but both homemade burger with fresh mince and butter tasted off! We had the same batch of burgers again 1 day later and they were fine. I think it is normal! x

Things I liked before I was pregnant with my daughter wasn't always gonna taste the same after I found out I was pregnant. My taste buds changed ALOT when I was pregnant. And it's starting to do this now too
