i was spotting and bleeding all last week and reading on here just completely stressed me out. i seemed to home in on peoples bad news and not peoples good news which just worried me more.

so if you are looking for reassurance please read my post. i had my first scan today. it was an early on just to check everything was ok. my bleeding finally stopped yesterday, after one week, one day and today my scan showed a heartbeat and a baby which is dated at about 7 weeks, 3 days old (i need to change my tickers!) it doesnt have arms or legs yet - hurry up baby! and is 11.3mm long which is about right for my dates. they could not find any cause for the bleeding as everything looked fine around the baby. said it might have been implantation bleeding or sometimes people get it when a period would have been due

here is my picture of an upsidedown buttondumpling - this baby is going to get blood rush to its head :)

its head is on the bottom right and its bottom is sticking up in the air. i dont know how much it moved around cos i didnt really get to see for long. cant wait till my 12 weeks scan now when i will be able to see a lot more! :D

its very strange thinking there is a living person growing inside me. even with the scan it doesnt quite feel real yet but at least now i feel reassured enough to actually dare look at mothercare website etc again :) bring on the shopping!!!!.... in a few more weeks :P

shame i have to go to work for the next 7 months.... i just want to nest now

I had some spotting last night so am feeling a bit down but this makes me feel a bit better :flower:

thanks, i have been spotting for 4 or 5 days now. having a scan next wednesday. praying everythings ok. u must be delighted to have seen ur baby!

ive been to the loo today, and each time ive had streaks of brown, can't stop worrying, its only when i use the bathroom. should i worry??

It is good to read stories with happy ending.
I started spotting last saturday and my emergency scan showed a heartbeat. The dr. saw blood in the uterus and said more will come later. I think it has been coming for the last 5 days. it is really faint and small in amount. I hope it subsides like yours. I heard that if you are spotting, there is a 10% cance of miscarriege. but I don't believe that spotting means miscarrige is on the way unless you take action. Sometimes spotting occurs because of implantation or on the date period would have been due. Also, during the luteal-placental shift when hormone production begins to be taken over by placenta, such spotting could occur.
It must really be sad to be miscarrying, those who experience know better, but if there is a strong chance that baby will be viable, it is not useful to worry about the probability of miscarriege. need to keep baby less stresful.
amazingracie, I think you could see a dr to put your mind at ease. I hope your baby is just fine.

Hi Magicbubble,

Congratulations first and foremost on your pregnancy.

I am pregnant with my third baby and am experiencing a bit of bleeding today. I have had this on my previous pregnancies but I still can't help feeling a bit worried. Im booked in for a scan on friday am and will be just over 5 weeks, so I'm hoping they'll actually be able to see something.
Thank you for writing this post as you have made me feel a bit more positive.
I hope the rest of your pregnancy is a good one

Love Amber

congrats!
with my little girl i bled from 14weeks too 25weeks! so just proves bleeding doenst always mean bad news :) ... shes now 5months old!! x

Hi i'm having brown spotting every time i go to the loo. Went to see doc yesterday who said it's likely to be a miscarriage

Got some pain/cramps but nothing too bad, i just know it's there.

As i'm only 5 weeks dont see any point in a scan coz they wont see much. If it carries on for another day then i will go back to docs and ask for a blood test to check my hcg levels.

Fingers x'd for us that are going through this xx
