because of morning sickness, what prompted you to go in? I have been dealing with awful morning sickness and it is only getting worse. I have kept down just one small meal in the past 3 days and am throwing up all fluids as well. I am extremely tired, run down, thirsty and irritable. I wonder about whether I should be getting fluids, but I am reluctant to go to the ER. I am not far enough along to go to the maternity ward.

I am thinking I will just wait and go to a clinic in the morning, but am curious about what type of symptoms you had/have that led to IV fluids, and was it your choice to go to the hospital or was it recommended by a doctor/midwife?

Thanks in advance!

Sorry, I only just spotted this. For me I literally wasn't keeping anything down the first week or two so I went to A&E.

When I was admitted on Friday I was told to go by my doc xx

i had had morning sickness for weeks beforehand, but one week it got really bad where i couldnt keep anything at all down, even small sips of water, i called my midwife explaining that i felt really weak, tired, and just lethargic. she told me to go to a&e (ER), i went, told them that my midwife had told me to go in in case of dehydration, and they gave me a drip and ran some blood tests. i felt amazung afterwards, i had so much energy it was awesome!
