He sleeps for maybe 30-40 mins during the day. And during the night is 1.5-2 hours if we're lucky I actually think he slept longer during the day on breast milk. Because we'd sometimes get a four hour stretch out of him.
Ladies, thank you. I'm actually exclusive breast-feeding but my LO wakes up A LOT and people keep insisting formula will "fix the problem". I have nothing at all against mums who decide to/need to formula feed - I just don't want to do it myself - and it's actually good to hear it doesn't necessarily make any difference.
i know people always say that....we had to switch because my LO has an allergy but it does kind of make me sad that she couldn't BF and still doesn't sleep, i find myself sad when warming bottles at 3 a.m...........
Well my LO slept through the night for one month when she was 3-4 months and that's it. Apparently formula feeding makes them go longer but not in our case. I also wish we were able to breastfeed and hate making bottles.
We had to switch to formula feeding at 6 weeks and she slept through the night ever since 8 weeks. She may be a one off though! My best mate has a baby who has been on formula almost from the start and she still doesnt sleep through at nearly 1 year old. I have no idea how she copes, big hugs to all the exhausted mummies out there x
Try him on a different formula. I've been co feeding my little one with heinz nurture gold since 2 weeks however she weaned herself about a week ago so is now just on the formula. When she was just on the breastmilk, she was feeding every 1-2 hours, mainly because my supply was low, but ever since I introduced formula, she usually has 5 hour gaps between each feed and she's been sleeping 12-13 hours through the night since about 3ish weeks. So maybe try a few and see if any work differently for him
12-13 hours?!?!????!!! You lucky thing lol. I have considered trying another formula, but I'm worried it may upset his belly, as he is a bit of a spewy baby.
My breastfed son sleeps way better (3-4 hours at once most nights) than my formula son ever did (STTN at 23 months)... if only it was so simple! LOL! But your boy is so young, it's impossible to say, even 2 hours at 3 weeks is still good!
