ok I have just had my 1st little baby girl Jessica and I am bottle feeding. Anyway I got her home today and was making her up bottle following the instructions to the letter. I dont know if this makes a difference but I am feeding C+G. So I filled the bottle upto 3oz and added the powder and shook it. Still thinking nothing off it my OH said he wanted to feed her. No problem at all but as he then pointed out there was more than 3oz in there which I put down to the powder filling the bottle up more. Is this right then and makes up for the small amount in the bottom that she didnt take.?? Any advice welcome thanks :baby:

it is normal. The ounces refers to the amount you put in before you put in the powder so you are making them up correctly. It's actually good that there's a bit leftover, once she starts to drain the bottles you'll want to start making up another ounce (so she gets what she needs and so she's not sucking in a lot of air on the bottle)

Thanks Vickie, much appriciate your reply and so quick. I was a little worried as we were feeding her that I was giving her too much, you put my mindat rest. Thanks again xx
