Hi Moms and Dads!

I'm a graphic design student from Chicago and I'm working on redesigning the packaging of Enfamil for a school project. As I don't yet have any children, I don't know much about the product and would really appreciate any insight from you parents. I have a couple of key questions but any other feedback/ opinions would be super helpful.

Do you use Enfamil, why or why not?
What makes you choose one formula over the other?
What do you like specifically about the brand you use?
Does advertising play any role in the brand you use?
How do you feel about the packaging design of baby formulas?

I'm from the uk so not sure if ill be any help to you but ill reply anyway.
I don't use it as its not available in the uk (as far as I'm aware)
I chose formula based on what was easily available at local shops, and same one I was fed on as a baby. However since I had to change to a stay down milk due to reflux, which is harder to get.
The brand I originally chose I liked that it was easily available and actually the same as a different brand but cheaper. The brand I use now I like because it helps my child with his sickness which is what it's designed for. However it's more hassle to make up and can't buy ready made cartoons whereas my first choice you could which was helpful when out for the day.
Advertising played no role in choosing.
Personally I don't like the fact that they have to advertise 'breast is best' on formula. I think everyone is aware of this however for mums who haven't been able to breast feed of had to give up breast feeding its insensitive. At the end of the day if a mother chooses to formula feed then that's what's best for her baby in her eyes. However ano this has to be advertised by law therefore ano it has to be there. Also on my previous brand there was a built in level off to scrape the scoop off to get the accurate measurement which was useful, In my brand now it doesn't have one therefore have to use a knife aswell.

Do you use Enfamil, why or why not? No we are on similac soy. We got more coupons from them and my child does not do well with change. Have used in the past and like enfamil though. Had for my first child while on wic but now wic in my state is contracted with similac.

What makes you choose one formula over the other? I would actually use targets store brand if my child would handle the change. Cost has a lot to do with it. Also Like I said the coupons from similac. Several $5 off coupons that I get every month.

What do you like specifically about the brand you use? My kid quit screaming 20 hours a day. seriously not exaggerating. Screamed for ever. Other than that no preference over other brands used in the past.

Does advertising play any role in the brand you use? Not television advertising anyway. They do send flyers to my house all the time.

How do you feel about the packaging design of baby formulas? Its ok. We usually get the plastic tubs. I do like the on the go packets that enfamil does. Have used several of those in the past. Really handy to be premeasured. Take up a lot less room as well.
