Just a little vent -

DH bought a can of formula (we switched from regular stage 1 to soy for stage 2) but the can that DH bought was a totally different one altogether! We can't use it because it's milk-based which we've seen is bad for baby but the local grocery store (which charged $5 more than anywhere else I've ever seen, and he used a $1 coupon to buy it!) can't take it back because the ministry of health doesn't allow returns of baby-food.

It's not like I even opened the can! AND It was only bought 6 days ago!!!

I am SO frustrated!!!!

I literally just threw $18 in the garbage!

I'm going to cry!

I think its the same in all countries. Unless the item is faulty, baby milk cant be returned. xx

Ugh! That sucks! Can you donante it or give it away to someone?

Yeah I had the same situation, apparantly some sicko decided to inject chemicals into formula somewhere and it harmed some baby's so they won't take it back! It's shocking x

That's what I could sadly see happening and why they do it - there's enough totally anti-FF obsessive loons out there to make it a massive risk in taking formula handed on from anyone else.

We've kept formula cartons when we've switched types within the same brand in order to use them when making up formula for things like baby rice and cereal now we're weaning - that's about the least wasteful thing I can think of to do with 'em (it's not as if they're even those really useful tin can ones they used to be that you could even store stuff in the empty tins and get SOME utility out of the waste).
