Quick question ladies.. has anyone found the First Response dip tests more sensitive than the Early Response? I've done 5 of the dip ones lol all have pinkish line around 6 minutes, but did a frer yesterday arvo.. bfn! I rang FR and lady said FRER should b more sensitive but dip can be trusted just as well. Anyone share an experience? can I really have 5 Evans within the time frame?

yeah... here is Australia (and I think also New Zealand).. you can buy a 3 pack of dips.. they are just the bare ones, look like IC's really... here is my results on them - they are quite obvious in real life, so I'm taking them as a BFP..like the lady said, long as lines were there within 10 minutes.. they were, they were faint then, and dried darker...

I just want another test to work for me... the FRER are hopeless here at the moment.. no one seems to be getting a good result. I might try Confirm today... or Forelife...

So people have any history of different brands reading different... bfp with one brand, bfn with another?

Yes...but, IDK anything about the strips in order to compare them to the midstream tests...I can see a faint line, however.

Fx'd!

Thanks sweety !! Here's hoping... I got 5 faint ones, darker with FMU, but now I'm really doubting myself LOL.... we have only just started trying for number 2... so its fine either way, for now LOL

:dust::dust::dust:

One of my friends in 35+ is from NZ, let me ask her if she knows anything about these tests and I'll post her answer.

My friend thinks the dip strips are not as sensitive...read your box; if it says "good from the 1st day of your missed period," then they are not as sensitive as the midstream tests.

I am sorry I cannot be of more help.:flower:

All the lady from First Response said on the phone was its as accurate as the early detection in stream one, but it should be less sensitive... so i was thinking, then i should get a positive on the instream one no problems.. but I didn't.. but then went on to get 3 more faints on the dip ones LOL... aahhhh

Was it all the same urine?

Mostly not the same urine, but one FRER vs DIP was the same urine.. and I had a 'not so strong dip bfp'.. and a bfn on FRER.

Does your friend say the dips are trustworthy? Obviously I couldn't get this answer out of the helpdesk woman LOL... maybe its the words worst evaps, within 10 mins and pinkish... FIVE TIMES LOL

She didn't say about reliability, but I can tell you she got no line, nor BFP.

MMmm ok - thats good to know. I tried them previously and got NO line at all.. so I'm feeling more hopeful then that they are easy to read, and i'm not going mad!

Thankyou so very much for your efforts and messages and your friend also!!

Hi, did you end up with your bfp?? Im having the same issue with mine atm.

Had the same experience 2 more times... faint bfps within iimit... but didn't turn out to be true. Hope its different for u hun...but I'm staying away from fr dips now.. x

I went and asked the pharmasist where they are in my area he said the strips are a 20 mui and frer is more sensative some sticks even more sensitive then others...

so good luck to everone who is using whatever...

maybe you are not out after all :)
